Date Bread

Bread – Date                                                                      Given to NCC late 1950’s by Laurel Montgomery

 

1 cup chopped Dates

¾ cup Nuts

1 ½ tsp Soda (baking)

½ tsp Salt

3 Tbsp Butter

 

Pour 1 cup boiling water over above ingredients and let stand until lukewarm

 

Add:

1 cup Sugar

2 Eggs

1 ½ cup Flour

½ tsp Vanilla

 

Bake at 375 for 1 hour
